Ok, have to admit I was a bit unsure if to share this (as I dont want people to think im here just having a holiday!)
but I was invited by a friend to go to the oprera and so thats where I went tonight. What could i say? "no???"
not sure if im really an opera fan, but i hadn't ever been to one and so i really appreciated the oportunity to go.
Was also great getting to know another english speaker person my age =)

The opera house is in the centre of town, a very cold but beautiful place at night. At one end of the Piata is the Metropolitan Cathedral (which is amazingly gold and decorative inside) and on the other is the Opera house. This square (Piata) was occupied by the crowds in the Revolution of 1989, there are still pockmarks in some of the buildings here created by the gunfire.
