Summer Camp

Summer Camp

Summer Camp

Potter's House invited me to join the team of leader's on their English camp with a group of 25 kid's under 14 years. The kid's came from Timisoara and a few from some small villages. For some it was a time to learn basic things like eating breakfast and spreading jam on bread as well as washing themselves. They were an amazing bunch of kid's and i was soooo impressed that they were willing to spend 8 day's away from home and family with total strangers!

We stayed in a small village, the kid's slept in tents while the leader's had a roof to sleep under. Activities like hiking, sports, and swimming were all highlights. As well as one night having a fire by the lake and seeing every day how each of them grew to work and be together, and by the end our prayer sessions grew as so many wanted a turn praying. A few also discovered their ability to swim at the lake...mmmm the lake was nice have to say.

It was an english camp only in that Bec gave an english lesson each day, other then that it was an intensive week of Romanian learning for me!

YAY for new beginnings!

Andreea (on the right in the grey shirt) is Romanian and is heading to France as a Missionary to reach out to the University students in France. God gave her a heart for Frence and she is now VERY excited that the door to go and work there has now opened. Tonight we had a girly night to hear her plans and say goodbye.

Some of you would remember in one of my blogs I asked for people to pray for a lady who had just been involved in a serious quad bike accident not long after she was married. Its been a hard recovery but here she is now (the one in red)! From what i've seen and heard she is definatly on the road to recovery

Not so long ago I had some IT guests stay with me for a few days. Erwin and Ruth are Dutch and came to Timisoara to check out the work that the team here is involved with. Here we are spending the afternoon at Potter's House.

Franklin Graham in Timisoara

Well have to say Im VERY happy to have my internet conection once again at home so now hopfully i'll be able to keep this blog a little more up to date!
The Summer has been hot and packed with many new experiences. Recently from the 4th-6th July Franklin Graham came to Timisoara. I live just a block away from the Soccar Stadium where the Festivalul Sperantei was held so was able to attend every night. Each evening the stadium was more packed then before. It was an excitting time to see so many people hearing and responding to the gospel. Saturday was the kid's program and so the staff from Potter's House brought a few kid's from the program there to the festival. An Irish Team was also runing programs with Potter's so they came too. Got to experience for myself a bit of Irish humor.....sometimes i wondered if they ever had a serioius conversation or even spoke english their accent is that strong at times!
